About CK Sports Therapy

Charlotte Knight BSc Hons

Sports Therapist

Welcome to CK Sports Therapy, I’m Charlotte a fully qualified Sports Therapist with a Degree in Sports Therapy from Edge Hill University. I got into Sports Therapy as I’ve always been massively into my sports, playing netball since primary school and am still playing now. As my sports passion grew I became more aware of how the muscles of the body function and the fact that injury and recovery can unfortunately be part and parcel of training.

So that got me on the road to my sports therapy degree and since then my passion, knowledge and understanding has only grown.

I love the fact that I can see a client who is in pain and put all my knowledge and experience into helping them recover and recommend how to develop their daily lives or their training to help maintain their recovery.

So that’s me, I’m here to help you on your sports therapy journey from rehabilitation or prevention or just that deep tissue massage to help you get the most from your body.

This was originally a shadowing opportunity which i gained soon after finishing university. I worked along side the full time physio who allowed me to attend the injury clinic and the match days. After a few weeks the physio allowed me to get more involved and hands & I was able to provide the an initial assessment and also the of creating some home exercise plans.

After a few months with her she asked me if I would like to take on this role full time as she had been offered a new job. Since then I have been the head physio at the club and I’m enjoying every minute of it. This role in rugby has exposed me to many different injuries and has given me the opportunity to learn more and expand my knowledge and understanding in my degree area.

I was so glad to have secured this job providing a high level service to the future prospects of elite netball. I have since delivered deep tissue release and some taping techniques to the players. Also providing any pre or post match stretches the help the players performance.
